Job summary

HF Markets is hiring a Senior Software Developer in Kuala Lumpur to architect and build Python-based software solutions. You will design complex systems, write clean code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to release new features.

The role also involves mentoring juniors, conducting code reviews, and ensuring performance and scalability. A strong foundation in OOD, design patterns, and modern Python frameworks is required.

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience as a Software Developer.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design and Database Design.
• Strong understanding of SOLID Principles and Design Patterns.
• Strong understanding of Python/Java/.Net languages.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery.
• Experience with Python Frameworks: FastAPI, Tornado, or Flask.
• Experience with Unit Testing.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• ORM experience with SQLAlchemy, Entity Framework, or Hibernate would be an advantage.
• Observability and Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Thanos, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and architecture of Python-based software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain highly complex Python-based software solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and functional accuracy.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, and unittesting.
• Stay abreast of industry trends to keep applications current and competitive.
• Provide functional and technical specifications for software.
