Job summary

A leading cinema equipment supplier in Malaysia is looking for a Purchasing Executive to manage purchasing requisitions, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure smooth delivery processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, with good negotiation and sourcing skills. English and Mandarin communication proficiency is required. This role demands the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Purchasing field.
• Experience in shipping and logistics is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
• Negotiate prices and delivery status with suppliers.
• Coordinate with departments to achieve purchasing targets.
• Monitor and control purchasing activities and inventory levels.

Job description

Responsible on purchasing requisitions, quotation enquiries and issuance of purchase order.

Coordinate with suppliers on sourcing, price negotiation and delivery status.

Coordinate with all related departments in order to achieve the plan target and schedule.

To forecast, plan, execute monitor deliveries and control the purchasing activities and inventory level according to the company policy and procedure.

Suppliers’ negotiation in services, performance, delivery, quality, payment term, and gain cost-effective in purchasing.

To follow up on warranty replacement and arrange return faulty items to supplier.

Shipment arrangement & liaise closely with forwarding agencies for all custom-related issues (Import & Export).

Prepare reports related and presentation when required.

Willing to learn and able to take work pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

Job requirements

Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree / Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Purchasing field is required.

Experience in shipping and logistics will be an added advantage.

Language required: English & Mandarin (Able to communicate effectively with suppliers from China.)

Possess excellent communication skill.

Strong sourcing and negotiation skills.
