Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior P2P Accountant in Selangor, Malaysia. You will manage Purchase to Pay processes, review vendor accounts, and support financial data preparation. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Finance and has at least 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a shared service environment. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and operational knowledge of ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance function, preferably in a shared service centre.
  • Knowledge in month-end closing and year-end closing tasks.
  • Ability to act as a business partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform compliant Purchase to Pay processes.
  • Review & maintain vendor related balance sheet accounts.
  • Support the data preparation for Internal Control assessment cycles.
  • Assist Regional Process Experts in global project rollouts.

As a Senior P2P Accountant, you will be responsible for

Responsibilities
  • Perform compliant Purchase to Pay processes, using consistent and correct financial bookings in the area of Invoice, Travel & Expense and Vendor Account Management
  • Review & maintain vendor related balance sheet accounts and prepare accurate accruals for vendor invoices & expenses
  • Be a sparring partner for the entity contacts by linking business decisions to Purchase to Pay processes and by delivering and improving agreed Purchase to Pay services to the entities in scope
  • Support in the data preparation for Internal Control assessment cycles as required by the P2P Team Leader
  • Support Regional Process Experts in Global project roll outs
Requirements
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Finance or similar or equivalent finance qualification
  • Proven minimum 5 years experience in a Finance function, preferably within a shared service centre environment
  • Functional expertise and ERP system & tools knowledge to operate finance processes incl. month end closing and year end closing tasks
  • Evidence of acting as business partner through influencing finance & non-finance stakeholders and successfully communicate with them
