Senior Project Manager

Job Description

We are a well-established engineering consultancy firm, seeking a highly motivated and responsible Senior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to join our team in Johor Bahru (JB). The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating infrastructure design projects and will be responsible for ensuring smooth communication between our firm, clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.

Responsibilities

1. Represent the company during technical meetings with clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
2. Coordinate and manage infrastructure design projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
3. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for preparation of civil/structure design documents including earthwork design, road and drainage design, water supply system design and sewerage system design.
4. Well-versed & experience in civil engineering design.
5. Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
6. Provide technical support and address queries related to project design during meetings.
7. Collaborate with the design team and oversee the project lifecycle from planning to execution.
8. Prepare project documentation and reports for client presentations and submission to authorities.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering design and analysis.
2. Demonstrated experience and understanding of local codes, standards, and submission requirements.
3. Strong understanding of local authority standards and regulations.
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
5. Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
6. Certified Professional Engineer (Ir.) is a bonus.
7. Able to work with minimum supervision and independently.
8. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
9. Familiarity with local authorities’ requirements and approval processes in Johor Bahru.
