Position Overview

Govern the full asset lifecycle for PETROS' Non-Operated Ventures, from the end-to-end delivery of Facility Improvement Projects (FIP) to the development of long-term maintenance strategies. This senior role is pivotal in ensuring project investments are optimized and seamlessly transition into safe, reliable and cost-effective operations, thereby maximizing asset value and managing risk throughout the asset's life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of Facility Improvement Projects (FIP), from initial scope definition and feasibility studies through detailed design, execution and final handover to operations, ensuring they meet PETROS' investment objectives.
  • Develop and implement integrated strategies that bridge project execution with long‑term maintenance and operational philosophy, optimizing the total cost of ownership for both new and existing assets.
  • Act as a key reviewer and contributor for Technical Concurrence, providing expert judgment on maintenance activities and project designs to ensure they are technically sound, cost‑effective and comply with all HSSE standards.
  • Apply your specialized experience in asset rejuvenation and decommissioning projects to manage the unique challenges and opportunities of late‑life assets, maximizing value and ensuring safe, compliant operations.
  • Serve as PETROS' primary technical interface with JV partners and operators for projects and maintenance, challenging proposals and performance to protect and enhance shareholder value. You will be accountable for delivering on the asset's scorecard targets related to project and maintenance excellence.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and value‑focused decision‑making in both project and maintenance disciplines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Process, Chemical, Petroleum, or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 7 years of comprehensive experience in the Oil & Gas E&P sector, with a proven track record that includes both offshore surface operations/maintenance and hands‑on project execution and delivery within a PSC/JV environment.
  • Specific, demonstrable experience with asset rejuvenation, late‑life asset management and/or decommissioning projects is essential.
  • Possess technical knowledge in offshore production maintenance & facility improvement projects and has experience with rejuvenation and decommissioning project and management of late life asset.
  • Must have hands‑on experience with project execution and project delivery process. Strong analytical skills with a desire to improve solutions, systems, and processes, with focus to integrate and support multi‑discipline teams.
  • Formal training and/or certification to act as a Technical Authority (TA) in a relevant engineering discipline, with experience in providing technical governance and concurrence.
  • Proven experience and training in the end-to-end management of Facility Improvement Projects (FIP), from scope definition and planning to execution and delivery.
  • Practical experience in developing and justifying Work Program & Budgets (WPB) for maintenance and projects, with a strong understanding of economic evaluation and cost management.
  • Possess strong HSSE, integrity & ethics standards.
