We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer based in Malaysia to make an impact!
Responsible for the design and technical documentation of uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) for the duration of the project contract from the stage of project transfer from the Sales department through the delivery of the system.
Develops independently the technical solution for complex projects based on customer needs, quality aspects and cost efficiency.
Actively supports and coaches team members.
Knowledgeable about the Gutor UPS solution (XXW, SDC, PXP, etc.) and is the first point of contact related to technical questions raised by the Project Manager. For complex and/or large projects you will be supported either by Application Designer, Application Design Engineer, Application Design Manager, Customer Project Technical Leader or Customer Project Technical Manager.
Works in close contact with the project team (Project Managers, Technical Manager), he has good relations to R&D and Procurement, he is responsible for the project related support required by Assembly and Test bay.
Technical clarification and order placement (UNC/Purchase Requisitions) with 3rd party suppliers.
Responsible for keeping engineering milestones according to the agreed project schedule, any changes and adjustments have to be done in agreement with Project Management.
Participates handover meeting between Sales Engineer/Tendering and Project Manager.
Review of customer specifications and identification of special requirements.
Supports the Project Manager in evaluation of technical customer comments and the preparation of their reply.
Responsible for the UPS configuration, UPS detail design (including BOM preparation) according to the customer specification, Gutor processes and defined standards.
Ensures cost-optimized engineering solutions, while maintaining a high quality level.
Designs and creates the BOM of the UPS with the available engineering tools.
Design the UPS with the help of the future EPLAN engineering tool (Drawings & BOM).
Preparation of project specific technical documents (technical data, test- documents, calculations, …).
PLC programming for special features.
Preparation of non-standard instructions for manuals.
Preparation of assembly documentation (BB-Blue Binder).
Preparation of testbay documentation (GB-Green Binder).
Preparation of Change Instructions (CI).
Provides support to assembly and testbay at the shop floor.
Performs the System Release.
Supports the Project Manager during Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on specific technical aspects.
Initiate modifications by CI (Change Instruction) resulting from FAT Punch Items.
Preparation / execution of technical inspections (DNV / ABS / CSA….)
Supports, trains and coaches team members, especially novices, based on GUTOR design guidelines.
Supporting the sales/tendering team during the tendering phase.
