About Reap

Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.

Through our stablecoin-powered corporate cards, payments, and expense management tools, we streamline financial operations and help businesses scale. Our APIs enable businesses to integrate stablecoin-enabled finance into their own products and services—from issuing Visa cards to facilitating cross-border payments.

Backed by leading investors including Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the future of borderless, stablecoin-enabled finance.

Why This Role?

Teams at Reap are already reshaping how their work gets done — agents running alongside operations, non-technical teams building their own tools in days, engineering shipping fast enough that the constraints have moved elsewhere entirely.

That's happening now, in pockets, without a platform underneath it. Your job is to build the one that brings everybody along for the ride — and to set the bar for what "using AI at work" means here. The days of pasting an email into ChatGPT are over. We're rebuilding how the work itself happens.

We are standing up a dedicated team to build the capabilities and tooling that let every team at Reap — technical and non-technical alike — fundamentally change how they work. The goal is a company where reaching for an agent is the default way anyone solves a problem, not the exception someone is proud of. Access to the data and services they need. The primitives to build on. The path from a workflow someone hacked together to a system that runs itself.

We are not a team that builds agents for everyone. We build the rails and the templates; the org builds on them. That distinction is the whole strategy. The measure of this role isn't how many agents you shipped — it's how many people at Reap are doing meaningfully different work than they were a quarter ago.

This is a top-10 company priority with executive sponsorship and an explicit mandate to drive standards across the organisation.

Who We're Looking For

We want someone genuinely obsessed with this.

Not someone who has read about agents. Someone who has already rebuilt how they personally work around them — who runs their own harness, writes their own tools, has opinions about context management and eval design, and gets visibly restless watching a human do something an agent should be doing.

You should be energised by the fact that the ceiling keeps moving. The rulebook here gets rewritten every six months, and most of what we build this half will be obsolete by the next. The right person finds that exciting rather than exhausting, and is already watching for what's landing next so we can move on it early.

Your Mission Awaits
  • Find the leverage. Go deep into how Reap's teams actually operate and identify where agentic capability changes what the customer actually experiences — how fast they get onboarded, answered, unblocked, paid. Internal platform, customer outcomes. Rank ruthlessly on that basis.
  • Build the self-serve motion. Personal agent setups, tuned connectors, a curated skills library, working templates, a clear path to get started. Give people the capability and get out of the way.
  • And own the end-to-end flows. Self-serve unlocks breadth; the deepest impact comes from taking whole processes apart and rebuilding them around what agents can now do — not automating steps inside a process designed for humans. Pick the flows where that's worth the effort and drive them all the way through.
  • Take workflows to always-on. Prove the pattern end-to-end: a live, 24/7 operational system that acts unattended where it should and routes the rest to a human, with evals behind it. Then design the graduation ladder so the next one follows faster.
  • Design for speed. Data access, permissioning and auditability are our responsibility to get right — we operate on a regulated balance sheet and we take that seriously. But you treat them as design problems in service of velocity, not gates bolted on at the end. Built well, they're what lets people move fast on real data instead of waiting for approval. Built badly, they're the reason nobody uses the platform. That's your call to make, with Security and Data Governance alongside you.
  • Partner with engineering in tight step. This is one team building one set of foundations. The internal-tooling side and the developer-experience side are the same job, and you'll work shoulder to shoulder with engineering on both.
  • Make the value undeniable. Workflows live, functions covered, idea→live time, hours returned — measured on quality, not just cost. Unmeasured impact gets discounted.
  • Say no. Teams will ask faster than we can serve. Take on work only where it builds a reusable capability, and hold that line from day one.
  • Evangelise relentlessly. A platform nobody adopts is a hobby. Training, demos, office hours, internal comms — the enablement motion is your job as much as the product is.
What Makes You a Star
  • You have built and shipped production agentic systems — not prototypes, not evaluations. You can talk about where they failed, what you measured, and how you fixed them.
  • You are fluent in the stack as it is, and tracking where it's going. MCP, tool and context design, retrieval, orchestration, eval harnesses, observability. Equally: you know what's changing, you have views on what the next capability jump unlocks, and you're the kind of person who has already tried it.
  • You have driven change through an organisation, not just a backlog. Getting a workflow adopted by a team that didn't ask for it is harder than building it. Show us you've done that.
  • You think in systems and first principles. You start from what the work actually requires, not from what the current process looks like.
  • You have strong product fundamentals. Sharp prioritisation, clear writing, comfort operating with ambiguity and a small, fast-moving team.
  • You can design inside constraints rather than resent them. Experience in regulated, document-heavy or risk-sensitive domains, where accuracy, traceability and reliability are non-negotiable, is a significant advantage.
Why You'll Love it Here
  • A high-impact role in a rapidly growing fintech startup
  • Flexible hybrid/remote work environment with a global, collaborative team
  • Insurance coverage after probation
  • Reap Card stipend
  • Use of AI tools at work — and the space to learn, experiment, and grow with them
  • A culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning
