Job description

Responsible for the procurement of MRO materials, including equipment spare parts, labor protection supplies, hardware accessories, furniture, and machinery parts.

Responsible for the development of new suppliers. Assist superior in creating supplier sourcing and development plans; carry out supplier identification, selection and qualification in accordance with the plan.

Collect and manage new supplier information and documentation, including agreements, contracts signing and follow up on system import and approval process of qualified suppliers.

Handle new material quotation, cost verification and payment term negotiations.

Manage daily supplier operations, conduct quarterly supplier evaluations and provide feedback; ensure timely corrective actions and improvement closure for the suppliers. Develop supplier audit plans and supervise their execution.

Responsible for the cost reduction initiatives through downgrading supplier levelling strategies and low-cost material alternatives planning, implement them as planned.

Organize regular technical exchange meetings with suppliers.

Conduct timely market research and provide cost-saving proposals.

Assist superior in formulating and continuously optimizing departmental management policies and procedures.

Complete other tasks as assigned by superior.

Requirements:

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain and Business Management, or equivalent.

Possess a minimum of 5-8 years of working experience in supplier development and management within medium to large-scale manufacturing enterprises.

Able to communicate in Mandarin, English & Malay language. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Demonstrated expertise in procurement best practices, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and inventory management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize procurement processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with SRM platforms such as SAP SRM or Oracle SRM.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a keen eye for details.

Willing relocate to our new manufacturing plant at Karangan, Kedah in Q4 2025.
