Job summary

A technical recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Process / Process Safety Engineer in Malaysia, Sabah to lead technical support for projects focusing on process safety and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, including 5 years specifically in process safety engineering. Responsibilities include leading safety studies, optimizing process performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Experience in the oil & gas sector is preferred, along with relevant engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Engineer with BEM (for local candidates).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy-related projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments.
• Conduct studies to optimize process performance and reliability.
• Review safety documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs.
• Identify hazards and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance for various projects.
