Gen in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior Product Manager to lead AI/ML driven product initiatives. You will bridge engineering, design and business teams to translate complex AI concepts into scalable products.

You’ll own roadmaps, govern experiments, and drive measurable business impact across financial tech domains. You will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment, shaping outcomes through data, governance, and strategic decision making.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling and ensuring great collaboration throughout the product development cycle of a core strategic platform/capability area, while keeping true to tech, agile, product & design principles. Your job will be to amplify the effectiveness of this complex, cross-disciplinary team, as well as collaborate confidently and translate complex ideas with key stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Data, Marketing, Sales, etc. You are the glue of a happy, productive, cross-functional team; making space for the creative work across all disciplines to happen in a transparent, open environment. The candidate is a top performer who thrives in a very fast paced and demanding environment, thinks critically, and communicates effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall roadmap planning: unpack a broad, cross-functional initiative into specific workstreams, help teams define scope, deliverable, and schedules, and coordinate release planning across your team for multiple stakeholders
• Create and drive the strategic vision for the product, while also enabling continuous improvement during feature development, ensuring learnings are captured, shared, and integrated.
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships who have significant impact on product performance and success. Ensure that they are aligned with the product and company’s strategic vision and goals.
• Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure product development is aligned with business goals and timelines
• Facilitate decision‑making, resolve blockers and surface challenges while also monitoring and ensuring overall team health.
• Understand and communicate complex engineering issues and ensure they are on a path for resolution
• Manage and balance resources in your team and make strategic decisions about where to invest resources to drive growth and innovation.
• Define data driven performance metrics for monitoring of key platform to ensure continuous improvement of platform reliability, availability and manageability
• Develop a deep understanding of the Fintech space and market to make informed strategic decisions and ensure the team has the support and resources to achieve roadmap goal

About You

• 5+ years of experience in product management, including substantial ownership of AI/ML‑driven products at scale.
• Deep expertise in managing end‑to‑end AI powered product lifecycle (Experimentation, analytics, data, features, modeling, deployment, monitoring and governance).
• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML products that drive measurable business impact (revenue, cost, risk, engagement).
• Strong technical fluency in machine learning concepts, with the ability to engage deeply with data scientists.
• Demonstrated experience owning and driving complex, cross‑functional roadmaps across multiple domains or product lines.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts and trade‑offs to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Strong analytical and experimentation skills, including comfort with defining success metrics, designing experiments, interpreting results and driving business outcomes with data driven decisions.
• Experience setting standards and best practices for experimentation, ML governance, documentation, and product quality.
• Demonstrated leadership in coaching and mentoring product managers and technical partners in AI/ML product thinking. Have a strong sense of ownership for the product and for the team.
• Experience operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments, with a bias towards decisive action, avoiding decision paralysis.
