Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior PCBA Commodity Manager in Penang, Malaysia. This role requires strong sourcing experience, a solid technical background, and at least 5 years of experience in PCBA management. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring material continuity. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of contract manufacturing and the fiber optics industry.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background with a BS or above combined with good business sense.
• Minimal 5 years of experience in PCBA commodity management/supply chain management.
• Knowledge of SMT and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity sourcing strategy to meet technical and business requirements.
• Manage supplier base and lead supplier development activities.
• Maintain suppliers relationship and ensure material continuity.

Senior PCBA Commodity Manager

• Has been managing PCBA commodity.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with a BS or above combined with good business sense.
• Minimal 5 years of experience in PCBA commodity management/supply chain management
• Experience & knowledge of contract manufacturing management, especially for contract manufactures operation & process, including SMT and surround technology including glob top, underfill, flip chip, BGA reworking, testing, press fit, conform coating, etc.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in fiber optics industry and cost structure

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity sourcing strategy to ensure that suppliers are capable of meeting Company's current and future technical and business requirements
• Manage supplier base and lead, drive all supplier development activities aggressively and lead suppliers performance review (SBR).
• Maintain suppliers relationship and ensure materials COS (Continuity of Supply).
• Working with function team to drive continuous improvements at the supply base with respect to cost reductions, lead time reduction, VMI rate, favorable payment terms, etc
• Sets aggressive goals and drive teams to closure and success.
