Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to design complex multilayer PCBs for enterprise and data center products. You will collaborate with hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to drive high-performance boards from concept through production.

You will work with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe and other high-speed interfaces, apply signal integrity and power integrity practices, and contribute to design reviews and manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex multilayer PCB layouts for high-performance products.
• Collaborate with hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers throughout the product development cycle.
• Perform PCB floor planning, placement, routing, stack-up development, and design optimization.
• Ensure compliance with signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, DFM, and DFA requirements.

• Support prototype builds, design validation, and engineering change implementation.

Job Overview

Join our engineering team in Penang and contribute to the design and development of next-generation high-speed computing, memory, and storage solutions. The Senior PCB Design Engineer will play a key role in designing complex multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs) for enterprise and data center products, working closely with hardware, signal integrity, mechanical, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Design and develop complex multilayer PCB layouts for high-performance products.

• Collaborate with hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers throughout the product development cycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PCB design and layout for complex electronic products.

• Experience with high-speed PCB technologies and industry design standards.

• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro/OrCAD or equivalent.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Experience with memory, storage, server, networking, or high-performance computing products.

• Knowledge of DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, SATA, USB, and other high-speed interfaces.

• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity considerations.

• Experience supporting products from concept through production.
