Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, HRO (Payroll & Timekeeping)
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operational activities and ensure noise‑free Operations, along with strong customer stakeholder management.
- Deep domain expertise in HR
- Identify, implement & oversee process improvements to ensure efficient and accurate data processing.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders to ensure all data is efficiently managed in the Workday (or replacement HR system)
- Provide strategic business support and implement solutions to enable the business to achieve its talent and growth objectives.
- Serve as an escalation point of contact.
- Drive regular governance/monthly/quarterly to connect with retained leads and tower managers with strong partnerships in ensuring the success of the service delivery model.
- Lead the overall operational activities of case & query management (Tier 1 & 2) service delivery.
- Escalate and handover Tier 3 queries to CoE or HRBP
- Resolve and research associate queries as required, inc. Annual Processes (i.e., annual compensation, open enrolment, etc.)
- Case management and case triage, inc. update case status on ServiceNow (or any replacement tool)
- Review & audit employee portal content and provide required support to ensure right content is updated on the portal.
- Support complex projects, including new policies, programs, systems implementation, and other business reorganizations in collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., IT, HRS, HRBPs, COEs)
- Continuously identify and analyse opportunities for process improvement and BD Client service enhancements, ensuring collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Accountable for ensuring timely quality delivery of own work and processes by supporting Service Levels. Capture and analyse appropriate metrics and data.
- Forecast staffing needs and manage team scheduling.
- Deep understanding of quality & compliance to local laws & regulations.
- Support and drive team productivity and process efficiency.
- Acquire basic understanding of country HR laws, policy, regulations, processes, and data privacy will be added advantage.
Ensure noise free operation for below activities:
- Submit new hire payroll set up documents to payroll provider
- Gather pre‑payroll data inputs for earnings and deductions and submit to payroll provider
- Collate and submit time and attendance data to payroll vendor
- Collect employee changes (personal, organization, comp) impacting payroll and submit to payroll provider (in case of no interface with Workday)
- Resolve issues and correct errors for interface files
- Manage and support tier 2 queries with respect to payroll issues
- Manage and support tier 2 queries with respect to time and absence issues
- Collaborate with payroll vendors to close gross‑to‑net activities
- Validate reconciled files and amend data if required
- Review and address payroll issues escalated to the BD HR team if Supplier’s tier 1 and tier 2 teams cannot resolve
- Sign‑off on final payroll prior to such payroll being initiated
- Perform payroll disbursements
- Manage relationship with all Governmental Authorities relating to payroll
- Manage relationship with payroll and time HR Third Parties
- Process adjustments and additional payments (including reversals, corrections, and severance payments, stocks and equity)
- Collaborate with payroll vendor to process any off‑cycle payrolls
- Process year‑end tax statements
- Produce tax reporting, filings and corrections
- Provide or cause to be provided tax filing services, consultation and advise on legislation changes with respect to payroll tax
- Gather and process garnishments and court orders
- Manage unclaimed disbursements and returned payments
- Manage payroll and timekeeping debt collection
- Manage expat compensation collection and recording
- Update holiday/PTO balances and accruals
- Complete historical time corrections and correct time data
- Audit and govern security within payroll/time Systems
- Complete year end / year begin setup activities in payroll and time Systems
- Support the Year End / Year Begin process as requested by BD
- Administer PTO balances, floating holidays, allowances, payout and recollection
- Provide payroll and time reporting
- Perform payroll and time audits and reconciliation
- Oversee payroll and time audits
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills in English
- Exposure to Transition of a new HRO process
- Should have E2E knowledge with work experience in HRO
- HR skillset and experience – Intermediate. Knowledge of Workday
- Relevant experience in talent acquisition and total rewards
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- PGDBM / Relevant certification in HR will be preferred.
- Experience in Workday & ServiceNow
- Green belt/ Lean Six sigma certified would be preferred.
- Relevant experience in Local HRO domain
- Excellent soft skills to deal with the sensitive employee grievances or relations.
