A global technology solutions provider is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll accurately and timely. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in payroll and accounting, proficient with HRIS platforms and an accounting diploma is highly desired. The role entails providing HR support and ensuring compliance with legal payroll requirements, contributing to operational excellence.
Manage and administer the outsourced payroll function including tax reporting, payroll reports, audits and workers compensation, and to ensure accurate and timely processing within legislative requirements and guidelines.
Provide confidential administrative support and HR services to the business.
Plan, prepare and administer the Vertiv outsourced payroll to meet legal and company requirements.
Accurately review and process time in the Time and Attendance system, ensuring verification of data and manager sign-off.
Review payroll information for accuracy and manage monthly payroll deductions as well as contributions required to external bodies such as government authorities through outsourced payroll vendor.
Ensure accurate and on-time payroll processing and payment to employees.
Manage leave and where applicable, corresponding impact to payroll.
Conduct general payroll analysis and evaluation and make recommendations as requested.
Ensure that payment summaries are prepared and issued by payroll vendor to ensure compliance with legislation.
Support responding to HR-related queries both internal and external, such as employee/manager queries, audits, global teams, payroll provider, etc.
Ensure new employees are set-up on time and leaving employees complete all employment processes before final settlement of payroll.
Review, analyse and make recommendations for improvements in payroll processing, systems, legislative requirements and overall efficiencies.
Actively participate in executing improvements to payroll, HR and people processes/outcomes.
Assist with general HR work and projects as and when required and requested by the Payroll Supervisor.
Accounting Diploma/Certificate highly desired
Strong understanding of payroll principles, laws and regulations.
5 years + experience in payroll and general accounting processes, preferably in manufacturing, services and/or sales industries
Group and payroll tax, reconciliations, general ledger knowledge, reporting and data analytics
Oracle or other HRIS platforms
Build strong professional relationships internally and externally
Ability to prioritise and work efficiently
Customer service to stakeholders and employees
Proactive approach to problem solving
Positive ‘can do’ attitude
Flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
High level of organisation, accuracy of work and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and as a team player
