SENIOR PASTRY CHEF/ SOUS CHEF (CAKES & PASTRIES)

We are opening an exciting new café-restaurant concept set to open soon at The Linc, Kuala Lumpur. This will be the 3rd restaurant under the IMS F&B Group, which comprises Locarasa at Bamboo Hills and Khan's Indian Cuisine at Bangsar South. Designed to be a vibrant culinary destination, we celebrate artisan desserts, premium ingredients, and modern pastry techniques. We aim to create a space that delights the senses, inspiring guests with every flavour, texture, and presentation. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Pastry Chef/ Sous Chef, specializing in cakes and pastries to lead our dessert menu and set new standards of excellence in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastry & Dessert Creation
    • Conceptualize, create and execute a wide range of cakes, pastries, and plated desserts.
    • Innovate and experiment with new recipes while maintaining signature dessert quality.
  • Kitchen Leadership & Operations
    • Assist in managing pastry team operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery.
    • Maintain consistent quality, taste and presentation across all items.
  • Quality & Standards
    • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
    • Monitor ingredient quality and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
  • Team Development & Culture
    • Mentor, train and inspire junior pastry staff.
    • Foster a collaborative and creative kitchen environment.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Head Chef and management to deliver exceptional guest experiences through desserts.
Requirements:
