Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support Wealth Lending platforms. You will lead Oracle SQL/PLSQL development, optimize performance, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot across database, Java, and integration layers.

Banking-specific experience in wealth lending is preferred; you will work with Linux, shell scripting, and modern development practices in a collaborative, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL/PLSQL with complex data-processing logic.
• Performance tuning and high-volume transaction handling.
• Oracle database design, data modelling, and integrity controls.
• Root cause analysis across database and application layers.
• Experience with Oracle diagnostic tools like Explain Plan, AWR, ASH.
• Knowledge of Java backend applications and JDBC usage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle DB solutions for Wealth Lending platforms.
• Develop complex SQL/PLSQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views.
• Analyze plans, optimize queries, indexes, and processing for performance.
• Investigate cross-layer issues and document root causes and actions.
• Collaborate with Java engineers on JDBC usage and data access patterns.
• Prepare technical docs and ensure compliant deployment and testing.
