Job description
About the role

You will be in charge of handling and coordinating the storage of equipment/inventory in workshops in Malaysia and liaise with project owners for site supervision and delivery of all Carrier equipment. Maintain, service, test, commission, troubleshoot, repair and clean Carrier‑owned HVAC equipment and related products in the workshop and various sites throughout Malaysia. This includes air‑cooled and water‑cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT; various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, spot coolers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, service, test, commission, troubleshoot, repair and clean Carrier owned HVAC equipment and related products in the workshop and various sites throughout Malaysia and across Asia when required.
  • Attend to site breakdowns for repair and troubleshooting around Malaysia.
  • Ensure all PPE is worn appropriately as work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records for delivery orders and service reports.
  • Maintain proper inventory counts for all equipment and accessories.
  • Use power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Provide site supervision for installation and commissioning works for HVAC equipment.
  • Ensure smooth and on‑time delivery of equipment to site.
  • Manage transportation delivery to site and disassembly back from site and cross‑hiring of equipment.
  • Identify the spare parts required, ordering and receiving of spares.
  • Ensure accuracy of fleet inventory within Malaysia.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with co‑employees, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as needed, including general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, organizing, and general inventory counts.
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years of Commercial HVAC experience.
  • HVAC technical certification or HVAC Associate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repair and cleaning HVAC equipment and related products.
  • Experience in warehouse supervising/management an advantage.
  • SIC for Construction, Shipyard, Process Plant an advantage.
  • Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment an advantage.
  • Possess exceptional leadership skills and experience in leading a team of contractors to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Possess a valid class 3 driver’s license.
