Job summary

Principle Perspective Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to lead on construction sites across projects in Malaysia. The SHO reports to the Project Manager and heads SHE matters, developing safety systems, directing the site safety team, and ensuring DOSH compliance.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, supervise the SSS, and maintain a proactive safety culture with authority to stop work when a risk is immediate.

Qualifications

• Valid Green Book (Safety & Health Officer) certification registered with DOSH Malaysia under OSHA 1994.
• Experience leading safety investigations and DOSH statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, CIDB regulations, and DOSH (JKKP) reporting requirements.
• Ability to supervise a site safety team and manage daily deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop SHP prior to site mobilisation for high-risk activities and hazards.
• Lead HIRARC to ensure practical control measures on site.
• Conduct weekly formal site safety inspections and track corrective actions.
• Establish and manage the site PTW system and approval hierarchy.
• Respond to accidents and investigations; secure scene and initiate reports.
• Lead root-cause investigations and present findings to Project Manager.
• Conduct site safety inductions for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Brief team on daily priority inspections and PTW monitoring.
• Review subcontractor safety documents before work commences.
• Develop and implement Emergency Response Plan before mobilisation.
