Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer who can support both presales and operations. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience in enterprise networking, network security, virtualization, and containerization, and can engage customers with confidence. This role involves designing solutions, leading deployments, and ensuring stable, secure infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
Presales Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Design end‑to‑end network, security, VM, and container‑based architectures.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops, and proof‑of‑concepts (POCs).
- Develop technical proposals, solution diagrams, BOMs, sizing, and documentation for tenders/RFPs.
- Provide consultancy on best practices for network performance, security posture improvement, and infrastructure modernization.
- Work closely with the sales team to support solution selling and technical discussions.
Operations Responsibilities
- Lead deployment, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of network and security infrastructures (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless).
- Oversee implementation of network security technologies: firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, WAF, segmentation, zero trust.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of network issues.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across the network and infrastructure environment.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox) and container environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Conduct capacity planning, patching, system upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Create detailed documentation, operational SOPs, and support transition documents.
Technical Skills Required
Networking
- Strong, hands‑on experience in enterprise routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, VXLAN).
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, HPE, Aruba, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.
- Knowledge of SD‑WAN, MPLS, and WAN optimization technologies.
Network Security
- Expertise with firewalls: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, or Check Point.
- In‑depth knowledge of VPN (IPSec, SSL), IDS/IPS, NAC, WAF.
- Familiarity with SIEM and security monitoring tools.
- Ability to perform network security hardening and architecture review.
Infrastructure, Virtualization & Containers
- Experience designing and managing VM platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper‑V, Proxmox.
- Understanding and hands‑on experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Ability to design hybrid infrastructure solutions combining physical, virtual, and container workloads.
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a strong advantage.
Automation & Tools
- Experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
- Exposure to automation using Python, Bash, or Ansible is an added advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and customer‑facing presentation skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant certifications preferred
- CCNA / SSNP/ CCIE (advantage)
