Job summary

Ensign InfoSecurity in Malaysia seeks a Level 2 Security Analyst to act as an advanced escalation point for Tier 1 analysts within a busy MSSP SOC. You will investigate threats, guide incident response, and enhance detection capabilities across multiple client environments.

You will perform malware analysis, log correlation, network traffic analysis, and coordinate containment and recovery using runbooks. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced, multi-tenant setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity/IT/CS or equivalent work experience.
• 2–4 years in a SOC or cybersecurity environment, MSSP experience preferred.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms and EDR tools; knowledge of NDR/SOAR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to escalated alerts from Tier 1 across multiple clients.
• Perform in-depth investigations using SIEM, EDR, NDR, and firewall logs.
• Lead containment, eradication, and recovery with predefined playbooks.
• Coordinate with Level 3/IR teams for high-severity incidents.
• Mentor Tier 1 analysts and contribute to SOC process improvements.
