Job summary

NOV is seeking an experienced MPD Engineer to support managed pressure drilling operations across land and offshore rigs. The role involves preparing MPD programs, coordinating project team activities, and attending daily operation meetings to ensure safety and efficiency.

You will conduct rig surveys, design piping layouts, and maintain HAZID/HAZOP documentation while integrating MPD equipment with rig systems. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn through a structured development program including courses and on-the-job training.
• Accredited Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) preferred, with long-term exposure to MPD operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare MPD programs including transient and steady-state hydraulic simulations for drilling and influx management.
• Coordinate MPD operations with project teams and implement MPD programs.
• Attend daily rig operation meetings, conduct risk assessments and ensure safety across all stages.
• Design and survey land and offshore rigs, specify piping, valves and related flow diagrams.
• Maintain risk assessment documentation (HAZID/HAZOP) for MPD equipment and systems.
• Develop surface MPD equipment specs and integration with rig equipment.
