Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (Main Con/ Data Center)

Join a leading Main Contractor at the forefront of Malaysia’s digital infrastructure boom. We are looking for a high-caliber Senior MEP Engineer to spearhead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for a large-scale Tier III/IV Data Center project in Johor.

Work day: 5.5 days

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning (T&C) of MEP services, including Chilled Water Systems, CRAC/CRAH units, UPS, HT/LV Power, and Fire Suppression Systems.

• Technical Supervision: Review M&E drawings, technical submittals, and BIM models to ensure compliance with Data Center standards and local authorities.

• Subcontractor Management: Manage M&E subcontractors on-site to ensure work progress meets the master schedule and high-quality standards.

• Problem Solving: Proactively identify site clashes or technical issues and provide engineering solutions to minimize project delays.

• Safety & Quality: Ensure all MEP works strictly adhere to EHS standards and rigorous Data Center quality requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (recognised by BEM).

• Minimum 5–8 years of site experience in MEP works.

• Proven track record in Data Center projects, Power Plants, Cleanrooms, or Industrial Semi-con plants is mandatory.
