Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of automated machines using SolidWorks, ensuring robust and innovative mechanical solutions.
  • Spearhead new machine design concepts and support proposal development with cross‑functional input.
  • Ensure all designs meet functional, performance, manufacturability, and safety specifications.
  • Manage daily design activities with a strong focus on meeting project milestones and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Drive timely and cost‑effective completion of design projects, aligning with budget and customer requirements.
  • Provide hands‑on support during machine setup, test runs, and customer equipment buyoffs.
  • Analyze and report design challenges, generating detailed problem‑finding and resolution documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and customers to resolve complex mechanical issues and improve system reliability.
  • Guide and support application, evaluation, testing, and ongoing improvements of mechanical systems and company products.
  • Review and approve design submissions in SolidWorks, ensuring adherence to company standards and design best practices.
  • Generate and validate detailed BOMs in accordance with internal documentation standards.
  • Prepare, review, and refine technical drawings in collaboration with the engineering team, ensuring design clarity and accuracy.
Job Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Vector works is an added advantage.
  • Experienced in creating 2D assembly cross‑section drawings and compiling comprehensive module BOM lists.
  • Skilled in generating precise 2D part drawings with proper tolerance specifications and engineering standards.
  • Animation knowledge required for 3D visualization, design presentation and innovative engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and define mechanical design problems, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and disciplined with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive team player with a positive attitude, a continuous improvement mindset, and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial automation or machine design.
  • Willingness to travel for project support, customer engagement, or onsite validation.
