ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The main responsibility of the Procurement and Logistic Senior Manager is to lead, supervise and manage the planning, procurement, logistics and warehouse teams to maintain and improve an effective, efficient and successful operation in meeting the Annual Operating Plan and KPIs in terms of demand, sales, inventory, cost and profitability in a safe manner.

Responsible and accountable for the performance of the planning, procurement and logistics in all aspects and sits in the Site Leadership Team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

You will be the main contact person in Kulim for any contracts and agreements negotiation with suppliers and forwarding agents. You will also be the main contact person in negotiating with the customs departments on any shipment, maritime and custom related matters.

As the management lead for supply chain, you need to ensure the company is in compliance with all company, regulatory and industry requirements which encompass but are not limited to the company ethics and compliance guidelines, LMW requirements, ISO/FSC Standards and other relevant company and customer requirements.

You will be responsible and accountable to lead in providing long, mid and short term strategy and plan to maintain and improve the warehouse operations with smooth inbound/outbound goods shipments, procurement matters which support the business objectives in terms of supply chain robustness, costing and business continuity.

Assist with creation of master plan, production build plan based upon requirements of the order management cycle (OMC) and expectations of the internal service level agreement (SLA).

Analyze factory production rate data to determine capability and capacity changes necessary to support sales demand.

Update material run and track times within ERP system to promote and maintain MRP integrity.

Evaluate current manufacturing and supply chain business processes and assist with necessary changes to improve product availability and operational efficiency.

Monitor sales forecast changes and new product introductions to proactively ensure sales demand is satisfied and raw material and finished goods obsolescence risk is minimized.

Conduct capacity planning and provide input to manufacturing regarding anticipated machine or manpower capacity issues.

Supervise planning, shipping and receiving personnel.

Monitor production and purchasing data at site level to ensure compliance with OMC build plan.

Develop and monitor raw and finished goods inventory to ensure product turnover to support FIFO.

Establish action plans to monitor and improve factory KPIs.

Actively participate on the site leadership team.

Responsible for leading, managing and coaching team members in ensuring that the team plans and executes the short, mid and long term plan and focuses on the group personal, professional and career development.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

Minimum 8–10 years working experience in similar functions in highly pressurized and customer driven operations. Candidates with diverse work experience in operations and supply chain management will be an added advantage.

Minimum 5 years in managing people and a team with size of 20–40 employees.

Knowledge and skills in quality management system, environmental management system, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.

Someone who has strong values on safety and integrity, is highly empathic but at the same time able to demonstrate result orientation with a good service mindset value. Must be able to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

The candidate should have good business acumen with good financial understanding as this position will require multiple decision makings which will use both competencies.

The candidate must be capable of demonstrating situational leadership and make decisions with minimal data and supervision when required.

High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities based on business needs.

Strong demonstrated critical thinking and logic skills, problem solving and attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
