Job description
JOB PURPOSE

Lead, plan and manage residential village operations by administering accommodation occupancy, residential facilities, and other campus services to ensure the objective and targets for the department have been met to provide on-campus accommodation to undergraduate and foundation students throughout their tenure in support of the development of well-rounded global university graduates.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
STUDENT RESIDENCE AND ACCOMMODATION MANAGEMENT

Lead, plan and manage student residence and accommodation occupancy by administering student accommodation operations, endorsing room availability plans, ensuring rooms are physically available and liveable, assisting students and parents with room moving logistics (where feasible and reasonable) and facilitating the comfortable stay of the student in on-campus rooms to ensure undergraduate and foundation students have on-campus accommodation throughout their tenure in support of the development of well-rounded global university graduates.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Ensure facilities and services related to the residential villages such as laundry, café, mart services are available for students use, by collaborating with Property Management and Maintenance (PMM), Student Affairs (SA), Student Representative Council (SRC) and Residential College Support Unit (RCSU) inclusive of giving feedback on patrons' overall performance, endorsing operational procedures to ensure the living needs of residential students are well taken care of at an affordable price.

OTHER RESIDENTIALS

Lead, plan and manage UTP residential properties for live-in staff and visiting guests by administering its operations, endorsing room availability plans, ensuring rooms are physically available and liveable by intended user(s).

OCCUPANCY DATABASE MANAGEMENT

Lead and administer a database for overall accommodation occupancy which contains primarily dashboard and statistical data with details on student room, guests room data and record for reference and to produce periodical report on overall residential effectiveness to ensure the residential village and other residential operate in a cost effective and sustainable manner.

DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

Manage the administration of the department by executing all administrative tasks such as budget and leave management and staff training and performance evaluation and mentoring and guiding other executives in daily tasks to ensure smooth and continued operations of the department.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
  • More than 8 years of experience in relevant field. Experience in customer service and/or hospitality service is added advantage.
  • Professional qualification and advanced degree would be an added advantage
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
