The Senior Manager, Head of Medical Life Science (MLS) Business Development, leads the organization’s growth in the medical device sector, with a focus on diagnostics and medical consumables. The role builds strategic partnerships with OEMs, contract manufacturers, and MedTech innovators, positioning the company as a trusted partner in regulated medical manufacturing supported by ISO13485-certified capabilities and a regional manufacturing network.
Strategic Planning & Market Entry
Develop and implement a phased go‑to‑market plan for diagnostics and medical consumables across Southeast Asia.
Define strategic priorities, customer segments, and investment focus based on market mapping.
Coordinate internal teams to strengthen operational readiness (cleanroom, traceability, semi‑assembly capabilities).
Identify and secure new business opportunities with key medical OEMs and contract manufacturers (e.g., Abbott, Smith+Nepphew, Dexcom, Boston Scientific).
Develop tailored value propositions for molded parts, sub‑assembly, and future EMS opportunities.
Lead commercial proposals, contract negotiations, and customer engagement efforts.
Work with engineering, QA, production, and finance to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Support CAPEX planning aligned to the medical segment roadmap and certification needs.
Monitor medical market trends (diagnostics, wearables, surgical consumables) to identify growth opportunities.
Track competitive landscape, regulatory changes (MDA, FDA, ISO13485), and industry benchmarks.
Track pipeline status, forecast revenue projections, and report BD KPIs.
Support preparation of board‑level reports and investment proposals for medical sector expansion.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in medical devices, diagnostics, or life sciences.
Proven B2B business development track record with OEMs and multinational clients.
Strong knowledge of ISO13485, cleanroom operations, sub‑assembly, and contract manufacturing models.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
Experience engaging C‑suite and technical stakeholders.
Ability to craft, pitch, and close complex medical manufacturing proposals.
