A leading technology firm in Malaysia seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee asset performance and lead the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 8 years of leadership experience in maintenance, and a strong knowledge of equipment management concepts. This role involves technical guidance, budget planning, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Oversee asset performance to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.
Develop and manage Departmental Performance Indicators (DPIs) to support business and customer needs.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Maintenance Team to achieve departmental goals and high performance.
Plan and control annual maintenance budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) to ensure cost efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and drive root cause analysis to resolve equipment and engineering issues.
Establish and continuously improve maintenance processes and systems in line with company standards.
Take ownership from the Maintenance perspective in new equipment, product, and process qualifications.
Drive training and development programs to enhance team capability and readiness.
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and safety risks within the maintenance area.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Accountable and manage overall hook‑up project (new equipment, relocation, modification) which include planning, cost estimation, engineering design, master schedule, tendering, on-site hook‑up execution, contractor management, documentation, change control, VO management, claims & commercial process.
Develop and implement improvement actions (CIP, YIP, UPH, RR, Cost, Business Processes,
Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
Strong knowledge of equipment management concepts, strategies, and systems (e.g., OEE, RCM, CMMS, PdM, CBM).
Proficient in systematic problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D and DMAIC.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technical Expert in IC Substrate, PCB, Wafer Fab, SMT, Assembly, or related manufacturing industries.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager or equivalent leadership position.
Hands‑on experience in managing new equipment hook‑up projects.
Experience in new plant setup or expansion activities.
Proven experience managing measuring device calibration systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Capable of working effectively under pressure in a high‑demands manufacturing setting.
Strong time management skills with the ability to allocate sufficient shop‑floor presence to identify and mitigate risk areas.
Excellent team player with collaborative working style.
