Paramount Corporation Berhad is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager, Internal Audit to lead risk‑based assurance engagements across the Group and enhance governance, risk management, and controls. You will ensure conformance with GIAS and Bursa/MCCG while delivering practical recommendations.
You will develop annual audit plans, manage the team, and coordinate with external auditors. Strong data analytics skills (Power BI, Python) and English fluency are essential.

To lead, manage and carry out risk‑based assurance and advisory engagements across the Group, enhancing governance, risk management, controls, and data‑driven insights. To ensure conformance with Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and Bursa/MCCG requirements while delivering practical, business‑oriented recommendations.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
To assist the General Manager, Internal Audit (GMIA) on:
Planning, governance and stakeholder interface:
To develop and execute the annual risk‑based internal audit plan, aligned to Group strategies, risk profile, and Audit Committee expectations; update plan based on emerging risks (e.g. market, sustainability/ESG, cyber).
To maintain the Internal Audit Charter, Internal Audit Policy and Internal Audit SOPs/methodologies, and Quality Assurance & Improvement Program (QAIP); champion conformance with GIAS and Code of Ethics.
To support the GMIA in engaging with the Audit Committee and senior management on the audit plan, resourcing, significant findings, and the status of corrective actions; support disclosures required in the annual SORMIC.
To liaise with external auditors, risk management and other assurance providers to coordinate assurance and reduce duplication.
Audit Delivery & Advisory:
To lead, manage and carry out risk‑based audits and special reviews (including investigations) covering governance, risk, controls, and information systems across the Group.
To document key processes and controls; assess design and operating effectiveness; identify root causes and control gaps; recommend sustainable improvements.
To provide advisory input on policy enhancements, process optimisation, and change initiatives (e.g. new systems, project governance, sustainability reporting) while preserving independence.
Data Analytics & Technology:
To build and apply data analytics (Power BI, Excel Power Query, Python) to enhance coverage and precision (e.g. duplicate payments, anomaly detection, contract leakage, progress billing variances).
To promote continuous auditing/monitoring dashboards and embed analytics into audit workpapers and issue tracking as value‑added assurance for specific key risk areas.
To prepare clear, concise audit reports that highlight issues, risk implications, quantified impact, and pragmatic action plans; present to senior stakeholders and, when requested, to the Audit Committee via the GMIA.
To track and validate remediation; conduct periodic follow‑up audits and report closure status.
To lead, coach, and develop the team; manage performance goals and training plans (including IIA competency development and relevant certifications).
To assist the GMIA in overseeing departmental administration (planning, budgets, records, methodology, and toolsets); manage co‑sourcing or outsourcing partners to quality and cost targets.
To perform other duties as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
Qualification and experience:
Degree or related professional certification in Business related studies, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology.
Preferably a member with a recognised professional body in accounting and auditing e.g. ACCA and IIA.
Senior Manager: 10 - 15 years years of working experience (5 years in a managerial capacity) in assurance and/or commercial roles, and conversant with corporate governance and risk management processes.
Manager: 8 - 10 years of working experience (3 years in a managerial capacity) in assurance and/or commercial roles, and conversant with corporate governance and risk management processes.
Good leadership, strong people management skills and a team player.
Strong quantitative, analytical, data‑intuitive, and problem‑solving skills, as well as proficiency in data analytics techniques with PowerBI including reporting, business intelligence, visualisation and analytics.
Creative and focused on problem solving by properly analysing causes giving rise to identified conditions, understanding the features of the operating environments and having an overall knowledge of the business operations of the Group.
Ability to communicate one‑on‑one and in groups to explain policies and procedures, and to persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action.
Ability to effectively present information to executives/managers.
Ability to maintain leading edge knowledge of audit, risk management, business, finance, information technology, cyber security and regulatory issues.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with experience in adapting style and approach according to the audience and message to be delivered.
Ability to maintain a close degree of interaction with auditees during the performance of audit assignments.
