Job summary

A leading financial services company is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage financial modelling, capital management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, along with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Excel and excellent communication skills are essential. This role will involve collaboration with various business units and presenting recommendations to management in Kuala Lumpur.

Job description
1. Financial Modelling & Valuation
  • Build, enhance, and manage advanced financial models to assess new projects, investments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses, scenario modelling, and risk evaluations to support investment decision‑making.
  • Conduct valuation work for acquisitions, divestments, and joint‑venture opportunities.
2. Project & Investment Analysis
  • Lead feasibility assessments and financial due diligence for capital projects and investment proposals.
  • Evaluate ROI, payback periods, and overall long‑term financial implications of proposed initiatives.
  • Present well‑supported recommendations to management and the Board based on thorough financial analysis.
3. Capital Management & Funding
  • Drive capital‑raising efforts including debt, equity, and alternative financing instruments.
  • Assess and recommend funding approaches to optimise capital structure and minimise cost of capital.
  • Engage with banks, investors, and financial advisers to manage financing activities.
4. Strategic Planning & Advisory
  • Collaborate with business units to provide financial guidance on operational and strategic matters.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for management committees and board meetings, including responses to ad hoc requests from key stakeholders.
  • Offer strategic advice on M&A activities, corporate planning, and portfolio optimisation.
5. Financial Projections
  • Develop and consolidate long‑range financial projections and annual cash flow forecasts for the Group.
6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor and report on project and investment performance against financial targets and KPIs.
  • Identify key risks, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling using Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with the capability to produce clear, well‑structured written materials and articulate complex concepts effectively across all levels of the organization.
