Job summary

Baker Tilly Monteiro Heng PLT in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Manager of Learning & Professional Development to lead and enhance learning programmes for audit and assurance staff. The role covers training needs analysis, programme development and delivery, e-learning, CPD monitoring and continuous improvement of training initiatives.

Key responsibilities include managing LMS/CPD records, coordinating events, monitoring regulatory updates, developing materials with SMEs and driving innovative learning

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (MIA/ACCA/ICAEW/CPA).
• Minimum 7 years of audit and assurance experience; training/lecturing preferred.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills; able to engage audiences.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Excellent planning, organisational and project management ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the annual training plan based on needs of the audit and assurance practice.
• Manage learning programmes for audit and assurance staff, including content development, delivery and evaluation.
• Deliver and facilitate technical and professional training for staff.
• Coordinate and facilitate L&D events and training activities.
• Prepare, review and enhance training materials with subject matter experts.
• Develop and enhance e-learning and technology-enabled learning solutions.
• Monitor developments in auditing standards and regulatory matters and update programmes.
• Manage LMS and CPD records for staff; ensure compliance documentation.
• Monitor CPD completion and support external registrations and providers.
• Coordinate training schedules, venues, trainers and external providers.
• Manage L&D budget for the practice and review related policies.
• Coordinate HRD Corp grants where applicable and ensure compliance.
• Evaluate effectiveness of learning programmes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and drive innovative solutions.
