Job description
Primary position Objective
  • To plan, monitor and implement all IT related infrastructure and hardware elements.
  • Plan and execute Preventive Maintenance
  • Review any proposed technical solution, technology trends and introduce continuous improvement for infrastructure and hardware.

Role Impact

Planned Maintenance
  • To ensure all infrastructure and hardware within management scope are up and running at optimum performance by constant monitoring and necessary fine tuning, if required.
  • To ensure all respective infrastructure and hardware is functioning as it has been planned and designed.
  • To ensure continuous improvement is in-place for all infrastructure and hardware and plan execution accordingly.
  • To meet expected Mean-Time-To- Recover (MTTR) for all infrastructure and hardware.
  • To plan, monitor and implement preventive and change management effectively.
  • To recommend and provide infrastructure and hardware related rectification immediately to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • To provide capacity planning services from planning, monitoring, and improvement execution.
Project Management
  • Provide technical advice and validation on any related solution for new or existing infrastructure setup, including technology trending analysis and evaluation.
  • Champion new request or enhancement of the infrastructure and hardware. To provide project management and technology assistance whenever necessary. To ensure all infrastructure and hardware are configured according to requirement specification.
  • Ensure security aspect is not compromised.
Audit & Best practices
  • To ensure all technical documents are updated accurately and following ISO standard format.
  • Ensure SOP is fully enforced and adhered to by whole section/department based on ISO, COBIT and ITIL best practices.
  • To provide audit assistance whenever necessary.

Asset Management
  • To ensure effective asset management and inventory control with quality assurance.
  • To provide asset and spare stock availability planning to ensure continuous supply of the stock to support the business.
  • To ensure timely asset replacement so that the assets are in good working order and healthy as well as operating within the product lifespan.
  • To ensure timely disposal of asset.
Budget Management
  • To ensure infrastructure and hardware inclusive of CAPAX/OPEX utilization report is accurate and submitted timely.
  • To provide cost cutting measure where necessary, always find ways to cost-effectively support the business.
  • To monitor the budget utilization so that it is kept within the planned budget.
Vendor and Contract Management
  • To maintain good relationship with vendors.
  • To perform yearly vendor performance review timely inclusive of contract management.
  • To create, review and monitor SLA stipulated in the contract/agreement/KPI and provide necessary corrective action
Policies and Information Security
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and review of Information Security (IS) and IT policies that reflect the organization’s needs regarding the protection of information and assets and the integrity and privacy of the organization’s intellectual property.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and review of policies that provide direction regarding appropriate use of the organization’s information and communication systems.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Graduate Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Experience
  • At least 7 years of relevant technical working experience, 3 years of which should be in management capacity
Skills
  • Able to install, maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory 2012/2016/2019 with DNS and DHCP setup
  • Able to install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Clustering
  • Able to install, maintain and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications and patches.
