The opportunity
As a leading provider of innovative business solutions, the Kim Teck Cheong Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full‑time role, you will play a crucial part in driving the strategic growth and success of our diverse business offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee overall branch operations, ensuring smooth daily operations and business continuity.
- Accountable for branch profitability, cost control, and achievement of company KPIs.
- Manage and lead Commercial Development (Sales) and Commercial Logistic teams at branch level.
- Drive sales revenue, volume growth, distribution coverage, and business expansion initiatives.
- Ensure effective execution of sales operations, including route planning, order management, promotions, consignment, sampling, and market returns.
- Oversee logistics and warehouse operations, including delivery performance, transporter management, inventory replenishment, stock control, FIFO, stock take, and write‑offs.
- Manage accounts receivable and money collection, ensuring healthy aging and compliance with company policies.
- Implement process improvements and cost optimisation initiatives to eliminate non‑value‑added activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and operational standards in office and warehouse.
- Develop, coach, and build team capabilities to improve performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage branch‑level administrative and human resource matters, including recruitment, manpower planning, staff welfare, and disciplinary matters.
- Act as a key liaison with head office, suppliers, transporters, and customers.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial or branch leadership role.
- Strong background in sales operations, distribution, logistics, inventory, and P&L management.
- Proven leadership, people management, and coaching capabilities.
- Good understanding of sales processes, logistics, inventory control, and financial governance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Results‑driven, high integrity, hands‑on, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
