About the role

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Mewah Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing facilities. Based in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, this full‑time position will see you lead a team of maintenance professionals, driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices to optimise equipment performance and reliability.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate their work to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Identify, investigate and resolve complex technical issues, implementing sustainable solutions
• Analyse equipment performance data and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise plant operations
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Provide technical expertise and training to upskill the maintenance team
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Mechanical or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of leading a team of maintenance technicians
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong focus on root cause analysis
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, manuals and schematics
• Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams
