Job summary

Lendlease is seeking a BO 33kV Chargeman in Kuala Lumpur to oversee day-to-day operation of the building, electrical installation, and HV facilities. You will lead maintenance tasks on switch boards, transformers and switchgears, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Suruhanjaya Tenaga BO 33kV certificate with at least 5 years of HT Chargeman experience in property management or mall environments, and demonstrates strong English communication and teamwork across

Qualifications

• BO 33kV Chargeman certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on HT Chargeman experience in property management or mall environments.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative mindset; able to work in shifts.
• Experience in coordinating with utilities and regulatory bodies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage HT & LT equipment for preventive maintenance on switch boards, transformers, and switchgears.
• Liaise with utilities providers and regulators on service and compliance issues.
• Lead maintenance technicians and ensure KPIs are met.
• Ensure MEP equipment maintenance per schedule and system condition.
• Oversee emergency repairs and building system performance monitoring.
• Coordinate annual shutdowns, testing, and related activities.
• Ensure safe work practices by staff and contractors during maintenance.
• Report and escalate safety or compliance matters to management.
• Assist with building submissions and inspections as required.

About the role

BO Chargeman 33kv is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the building, electrical installation, and monitoring on high voltage facilities equipment performance.

Your duties and responsibilities

• Manage HT & LT equipment for preventive maintenance task on all switch boards, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgears, and cleanliness.
• Liaise with utilities providers such as TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and other regulatory bodies on utility services and compliance issues.
• Operational lead for maintenance Technicians and LV Chargeman to meet all key performance indicators as defined.
• Assist the Building Manager in ensuring that all MEP equipment maintenance are carried out as per schedule and that all system are in good condition.
• Lead emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of building system equipment, and close monitoring on building system performance.
• Facilitate Centre activities such as annual shutdown, testing etc.
• Ensure that the staff and all contractors carry out safe work practices during maintenance, adhoc or renovation works.
• Ensure that any staff initiatives on IIF and/or Sustainability and others are brought to the attention of the management.
• Carry out inspection on tenants' renovation and report any unsafe practices and/or any incompliance to the Building Manager and assist other departments in Centres events.
• Attend to and feedback/complaints from the occupant (i.e. air-con problems, leakages etc.).
• Prepare reports of systems faults and/or trouble shoot finding for improvement works or insurance purposes.
• Assist the Building Manager in all building submission i.e. domestic water test, structural inspection, PE endorsement on signage etc.

About You

BO 33kv Charge man Certificate by Suruhanjaya Tenaga 5 years of hands-on working experience as HT Chargeman in property management and experience in shopping mall management or relevant industry experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills with strong collaborative mindset. Team player and able to work shift hours.
