Job summary

A multinational corporation in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to manage legal documentation and provide guidance on regulatory matters. Qualifications

• Degree in Law (LLB) and Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a practicing lawyer or in-house legal counsel.
• Experience in plantation industry and financing transactions is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts and legal documentation.
• Interpret, analyse, and resolve legal issues.
• Provide legal updates and guidance to stakeholders.
• Liaise with external solicitors as required.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach and motivate the legal team.
• Perform other legal responsibilities as needed.
