Job description

As our Senior Legal Associates, you are to provide essential support to the legal, compliance and governance functions of the company, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations and internal policies and maintaining strong corporate governance practices while meeting our business goals. You will be responsible for developing compliance program, advising management on possible risks and provide guidelines on compliance matter.

The main objective is to uphold the company’s integrity, ensuring it remains on a path of legality and ethics.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all corporate contracts and transactions.
  • Liaise with the company secretary on corporate matters and statutory filings
  • Oversee corporate governance for all AFED Holdings subsidiaries.
  • Manage legal aspects of third-party agreements and partnerships
  • Provide legal support for group procurement processes including draft, review and prepare legal documents.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct due diligence for business transactions and acquisitions.
  • Advise on risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Handle legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters.
  • Review and update corporate policies in line with legal requirements.
  • Support board meetings and prepare legal documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law or any related field.
  • Possess minimum of 3 years working experience in relation to compliance or legal matters.
  • Excellent knowledge on current industry standards and practices.
  • Effective report writing and communication skill (written & verbal).
  • Proficiency in relevant software or tools used in legal research and document management.
