• Perform other departmental duties as required.

Job Responsibilities

• To teach courses delivered by the Department and, as required, to teach on associated programs offered by the university.
• To supervise student projects and assist them in understanding assignment requirements.
• To design and execute formative and summative assessment, including marking that is aligned with student learning outcomes.
• To provide feedback to students on their learning through student consultations.
• To conduct research in areas as per discussion with the Dean/Head of Department.
• To publish papers and present papers at local and international conferences.
• Other duties within the Department and University as required.

Job Requirements

• A PhD or at least a Master’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Statistics/Actuarial Science/IT.
• At least 4–5 years working experience as an academic at the tertiary level.
• Experience in supervising students’ academic research/dissertation at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Published academic research in ranked journals.
• A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of MQA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
