Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced L2 SOC Analyst to monitor security events and protect against cyber threats using SIEMs and a range of security devices. You will investigate incidents, hunt for threats, and coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery efforts with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor in Computer Science (or related field) and security certifications such as CEH/ECIH/CSA or SOC L1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• CEH / ECIH / CSA or SOC L1 Analyst certification required.
• 2-4 years of experience as a L1/L2 SOC Analyst.
• Strong cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools and security devices.
• Ability to correlate alerts with threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events using SIEMs and devices (firewalls, IPS, EDR, WAF, Anti-DDoS, Anti-Spam).
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope and impact, and escalate as needed.
• Threat hunting to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to incident response with containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Analyze alerts with threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Create and manage tickets for analyzed alerts and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date security knowledge through research and threat feeds.
• Document incidents, investigations, and findings clearly.
• Communicate with SOC peers and stakeholders to coordinate actions.
• Participate in SOC operations and improvement initiatives.
