Job summary

Ceffu is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java services at scale in a modern production environment. You will own backend architecture, optimize performance, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, high-availability APIs and data models.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong Java expertise, and hands-on experience with Spring, MyBatis, SQL databases, Redis, and message queues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
• Solid understanding of OO programming, design patterns, clean code, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and persistence frameworks such as MyBatis.
• Experience designing distributed systems with focus on scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, RocketMQ), microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• RESTful API design and backend security best practices; Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java.
• Own backend architecture and optimize system scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build secure, resilient distributed systems for high-concurrency workloads.
• Develop and optimize APIs, DB models, and integrations for stability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive engineering best practices.
• Lead or contribute to AI engineering capabilities and tooling where applicable.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and identify performance bottlenecks.
