Job summary

upscale is seeking a Lead Backend Developer in Kuala Lumpur to design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot. You will work on microservices deployed to AWS ECS and drive containerization with Docker in an Agile team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and ensure performance, security and reliability of critical systems. Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience building microservices on AWS ECS.
• Docker/containerization and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
