A leading banking institution in Malaysia seeks a seasoned IT Project Manager to supervise various IT projects and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in IT, 15 years of experience (10 in project management), and strong problem-solving skills. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, advising on IT strategy, and monitoring service providers to deliver top-quality output. Work collaboratively with system owners and system users alongside Head Office in Tokyo, Regional Office in Singapore, and local stakeholders (internal and vendors) to cater to various IT projects as well as IT planning to develop a sustainable banking business.
Supervise, track, and coordinate IT projects as Project Manager or Project Management Office perspective.
The contact point and a Business Analyst to define business and system requirements.
Ensure compliance and enforcement for all IT projects according to the Malaysian regulation, internal rules, policies, framework, regulations, and Bank Negara's Risk Management in IT (RMiT).
Keep abreast on modern technologies, IT risks, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular assessments and provide support to other IT members to enforce Malaysian/internal regulations and proper controls of the IT projects.
An advisor for all IT projects including advising Management and Board on IT projects, system development that relates to the business, operations, any new banking services, and outsourcing related arrangements.
Ensure critical issues are adequately deliberated or escalated to avoid potential impact on the Bank's risk tolerance.
Monitor activities performed by IT Outsourced Service providers to ensure deliverables are up to standards, in compliance with regulations and rules, and as per the service agreement.
Prepare reports for Management and Board on IT projects statuses and IT planning matters.
Provide support on IT planning matters such as budget control, Third Party Risk Management, IT planning and other administrative matters.
Contact person for regulators and stakeholder engagements with internal and external stakeholders including industry level working groups and forums on IT planning matters.
Ensure proper documentation of annual review and due diligence are conducted alongside the IT risk assessment as per the internal procedural manual of IT vendors.
Monitor IT related incidents and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
Handle Audit related matters.
