A leading financial institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Operations Manager to oversee helpdesk operations and ensure timely incident resolution. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Computer Science or related fields and possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include managing hardware/software inventory, supporting audits, and improving IT service delivery. This role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Provide day to day management oversight for helpdesk operation to ensure incidents, technical problems and service requests and escalation such as maintain proper housekeeping, including cleanliness, alarm system, air‑condition, cabling and other physical security inside the computer room are dealt in timely manner.
Ensure effective on‑going support for all systems in use by the Bank by ensuring service provided to users is available.
Responsible to manage and maintain an accurate hardware/software inventory (Desktop PCs, Notebook, Printers, etc) as well as to provide technical support and training for bank computer and software problems.
Responsible to assist in development and implementation of standard IT Operations procedures, policies, and practices.
Responsible to assist in administration of proper policy and procedure of Windows Operating System, workstations and AS400 servers.
To support internal/external IT audits, ensure SLA compliance, manage incident/change/problem processes, and continuously improve IT service delivery.
Continuously improves IT service delivery lifecycle and performance of supporting technology in alignment with the Line of Business (LOB) and IT policies and procedures.
To ensure cyclical works such as DR testing, penetration testing and software & hardware audits are completed in a timely fashion.
Possesses recognised Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Sound knowledge and experience in IT networking, Server and OS, Storages, Virtualization, Windows patches and Vendor Management, Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management.
Well-versed in IT operations and principles and practices, preferably in financial institutions.
Self‑motivated, team‑leader, pro‑active, resourceful and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
