Job summary

HRD Corp in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Internal Audit Executive to lead audit projects, ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and drive operational improvement. Based in Damansara Heights, you will plan and execute audits, analyze data, and report findings to management with recommended corrective actions.

You will coordinate with departments, mentor audit team members, and contribute to strengthening governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CISA) preferred.
• A member of Institute of Internal Audit Malaysia (IIAM).
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in internal auditing or related field, with project management experience.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and willingness to learn.
• Good report writing skills and exposure in leading specific or assigned audit activities.
• Ability to present and inform the stakeholders and management on the findings while maintaining good rapport.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit planning for projects in assigned areas, overseeing team members and ensuring objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Review and prepare audit planning memoranda and programmes outlining scope, objectives, and methodologies.
• Recommend risk-based audit plans and strategies through risk factor analysis.
• Plan and lead audit execution in accordance with standards, and draft reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Coordinate audit activities with other departments and secure necessary resources.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and translate findings into standardised templates for stakeholders.
• Prepare analytics and reports for management.
• Lead follow-up on audit findings to ensure timely corrective actions.
• Identify non-compliance and propose policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure governance.
