Job summary

Singtel invites applications for a Senior Information Security Specialist in Kuala Lumpur. The role provides independent security architecture and risk assurance across technology initiatives, engaging with IT, Telco Networks and Enterprise stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's security posture.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, architecture review, threat modelling, and advisory to project teams, with a focus on secure design and compliant delivery throughout the system

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in security assessment or cybersecurity.
• Experience in systems security, network security, IAM or virtualization security.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive information security risk assessments for systems, apps, infrastructure changes and third‑party engagements.
• Review design documents, architecture diagrams and controls to confirm risk mitigation before go‑live.
• Conduct threat modelling for critical systems and provide risk advisory to IT and business stakeholders.
• Apply security frameworks and Zero Trust principles to evaluate designs and controls.
• Drive governance, compliance and continuous improvement of risk assessment and design review processes.
