Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang is seeking a Senior IE-NPI Engineer to drive R&D prequal cost optimization for SSD and Automotive programs. You will translate plans into wafer demand, optimize NAND costs, and forecast using AI-enabled analytics.

This role requires ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and strong data-driven decision making. The candidate will implement PLM processes, coordinate with Global Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Engineering, and support leadership with robust cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with 3+ years in electronics or semiconductors.
• Proven ability to lead NPI planning and cost optimization initiatives.
• Experience with AI-enabled analytics and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage R&D NPI wafers and OpEx/cost strategy across storage products.
• Develop models translating build plans into wafer requirements and capacity.
• Lead what-if analyses for schedules, yields, and expenses.
• Communicate insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Apply AI tools to improve reporting, forecasting, and decision making.
