Job summary

Air Products Malaysia is seeking a skilled finance professional to prepare monthly tax provisions and manage deferred taxation, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will coordinate with the tax planner and country field finance teams, and collaborate with the global tax team to standardize processes. The role requires a minimum of 4 years in audit/accounting and a professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (or equivalent).
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
• At least 4 years of working experience in audit and accounting; multinational company with SAP is a plus.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Self-motivated team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; high ethics.

• Analyse transactional items with tax sensitivity and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

About the role

Responsible for preparation of monthly tax provision and deferred taxation – including posting of journal entries, analysing transactional item with tax sensitivity, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Coordination with tax planner and country field finance departments to review tax matter and accounting impact.

Collaborate with global tax team to improve process by implementing standardization and automation.

Work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (or equivalent)
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent)
• At least 4 years of working experience in audit and accounting field; additional finance-related working experience in multinational company with SAP is a plus
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices; US GAAP knowledge is a plus
• Self-motivated team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills, and high ethical standards
• Additional language skill (e.g. Mandarin) is a plus
