Job summary

OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior IAM / Microsoft Entra ID Architect/Engineer for a contract position. You will design and deploy Entra ID infrastructure, implement SSO/MFA, and lead governance across enterprise systems.

The role requires deep IAM expertise, including integration with multi-cloud environments and hybrid identity. You will mentor junior engineers and influence security architecture across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IAM architecture within enterprise environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, Kerberos and related standards.
• Experience architecting secure authentication and authorisation across multi-cloud environments.
• Strong identity governance, access reviews and compliance awareness (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Proficiency with hybrid identity including on-prem AD integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect IAM solutions with Microsoft Entra ID as a core component.
• Lead planning, implementation, and deployment of Entra ID infrastructure including authentication and identity governance.
• Develop IAM architecture documentation with diagrams and data flow models.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and application teams for seamless integration.
• Configure Entra ID features: SSO, MFA, conditional access, identity protection.
• Manage identity governance, provisioning/de-provisioning, and RBAC implementations.
• Provide guidance on IAM best practices and emerging technologies.
• Troubleshoot IAM issues and optimise system performance and reliability.
• Conduct security assessments to identify identity-related risks.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

About the role
We are seeking a Senior IAM / Microsoft Entra ID Architect / Engineer to join OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD. This is a contract position based in Kuala Lumpur. As a Senior IAM Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, architecting, and implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions with a specialisation in Microsoft Entra ID. You will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation's identity and access infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise best practices. This role is essential to our digital transformation strategy and will directly impact our security posture and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive IAM solutions utilising Microsoft Entra ID as a core component, ensuring alignment with organisational security policies and compliance requirements
• Lead the planning, implementation, and deployment of Microsoft Entra ID infrastructure, including authentication, authorisation, and identity governance frameworks
• Develop and maintain IAM architectural documentation, including system design diagrams, data flow models, and integration specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and application development to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions
• Configure and optimise Microsoft Entra ID features such as single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and identity protection mechanisms
• Manage identity governance and access reviews, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC) implementations
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on IAM best practices, emerging technologies, and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM-related issues, optimising system performance and reliability
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate identity-related risks
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and engineering within enterprise environments
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including advanced configuration and integration scenarios
• Deep knowledge of IAM concepts, standards, and frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, and Kerberos
• Proven experience architecting and implementing secure authentication and authorisation solutions in complex, multi-cloud environments
• Strong understanding of identity governance, access reviews, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
• Proficiency with hybrid identity scenarios, including on-premises Active Directory integration and cloud-based identity management
