Job summary

A fast-growing e-commerce company is seeking an experienced Senior HR professional to lead its Human Resources functions. This role includes overseeing recruitment, developing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian labor laws. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and a minimum of 5 years' experience in HR. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in an HR or managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training & development, and performance management.

Develop and implement HR policies, strategies, and procedures that align with the company’s objectives.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and HR regulations.

Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, workplace culture, and retention.

Manage disciplinary and grievance issues professionally and in line with company policy.

Collaborate with department heads and management on workforce planning and staffing requirements.

Maintain up-to-date HR records and systems.

Prepare and present regular HR reports to the management team.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in an HR or managerial position.

Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Able to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Fluent in Mandarin is preferred (to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking management).
