Job summary

TechnipFMC plc is seeking a seasoned HSES leader to drive the Global HSES management system deployment regionally. You will coordinate with GBU/EMS HSE teams, oversee audits, develop training programs, and lead improvement initiatives across sites in Malaysia and surrounding regions.

The role requires extensive HSE regulatory expertise in Malaysia, ISO 14001/45001 knowledge, and proven leadership in complex projects with strong data analysis skills. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/ tertiary education in related discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • 5-8 years’ work experience with emphasis on HSE in projects and operations.
  • HSE Lead Auditor (ISO 14001 or ISO 45001) certification.
  • Expertise in local Malaysia regulatory requirements and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
  • Experience developing and delivering HSES programs and trainings.
  • Desirable: NEBOSH/CSP/CSHO or equivalent certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with data management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with GBU/EMS HSE to lead deployment of Global HSES systems and programs to sites in the region.
  • Lead development and implementation of global HSES processes and procedures, including training plans.
  • Lead Global/Regional/Local Network/Workgroup for HSES improvement efforts.
  • Act as SME for HSES requirements applicable to sites in the region.
  • Communicate changes to HSE standards and ensure site compliance for certified sites.
  • Support new site compliance to ISO 14001/45001 through SME guidance.
  • Support internal audits/assessments and deploy related processes across sites.
  • Develop training materials and deliver HSES competency trainings.
  • Analyze metrics, identify improvement opportunities, coordinate actions.

Job Purpose
  • Partner with GBU/EMS HSES teams to lead the implementation of HSES management system, processes, & programs in the region in compliance with TechnipFMC and Clients' requirements, relevant industry standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and continually improve the Global HSES management system, processes, & compliance assurance programs for suitability & effectiveness to minimize HSES risks exposure and enhance HSES performance.
  • Lead the activities/ programs/ initiatives that contribute to the achievement of Global HSES and HSES Management System & Compliance Assurance objectives and alignment strategies.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HSES management system & compliance assurance related requirements specific to the sites in the region.
  • Participate in the Global Environmental Network as the regional liaison for the Global Environmental programs/ initiatives.
Profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Tertiary Education in related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • 5-8 years’ work experience; with preferred:
    • 5+ years HSE experience/exposure in projects (management system, compliance, processes, risk assessment, operational/ project execution).
    • 5+ years in process improvement experience.
    • 3+ years in supervisory/ leading team experience.
    • 3+ years in Environmental experience (ESG/sustainability, environmental risk assessment, environmental management system, environmental compliance).
  • HSE Lead Auditor (ISO 14001 or ISO 45001) from a recognized service provider.
  • Expertise knowledge & experience in local HSE regulatory requirements, particularly Malaysia legal requirements.
  • Expertise knowledge in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.
  • Expertise knowledge & experience in the development & implementation of effective HSES management system, processes & compliance/ regulatory requirements in the project(s) or workplace(s).
  • Experience in developing and delivering HSE programs & trainings.
  • Good to have: NEBOSH/ CSP/ CSHO or other equivalent HSE certifications/ qualifications.
  • Good to have: Good computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including complex datacollection, analysis and presentation through various applications, e.g. software,spreadsheet, presentation, etc.
Main Responsibilities
  • Partner with GBU/EMS HSE to lead the implementation/ deployment of Global HSES management system & compliance related processes & programs to site(s) under his/her area of responsibilities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Global HSES management system & compliance related processes and procedures, including communication and training plans.
  • Lead the Global/Regional/Local Network/Workgroup for HSES management system & compliance related improvement efforts.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HSES management system & compliance related requirements applicable for the sites in the region.
  • Lead the communication on changes/updates to HSE management system standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and partner with GBU/EMS HSE team to ensure compliance for certified site(s) under his/her area of responsibilities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, & support to GBU/REMS HSE for a new site in the region to achieve compliance/certification to ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 standards, including withdrawal.
  • Support GBU/EMS HSES team to plan & conduct HSE internal audits/ assessments (as Lead or Internal Auditor/Assessor) for site(s) in the region as per agreed scope, schedule, & availability; including providing technical subject matter expertise to deploy relevant HSE compliance related processes/ programs to the needed sites.
  • Lead the development of training program/ materials and provide expertise & training for HSES management system & compliance related competencies (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Lead/ Internal Auditor, compliance/ regulatory requirements, etc.) to site(s) under his/her area of responsibilities.
  • Analyse & evaluate HSES management system & compliance related metrics/ data, identify improvement opportunities, and partner with GBU/EMS team to determine actions.
