A leading HR consultancy in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an HR Business Partner to manage HR initiatives across multiple regions. This role involves collaboration with various departments, ensuring compliance with local HR practices, and delivering training sessions. Applicants should have a relevant degree and substantial HR experience in a multinational setting, with strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, and a willingness to travel.
Serve as the main liaison for regional HR teams, ensuring consistent implementation of policies and programs and addressing process gaps through periodic reviews.
Lead the end-to-end rollout of new HR initiatives across all offices, track milestones, provide guidance, and escalates risks as needed.
Adapt HR initiatives for specific regions, ensuring compliance with statutory, cultural, and local requirements while aligning with APAC governance and company standards.
Deliver targeted training, onboarding workshops, and refresher sessions for HR initiatives as needed to ensure effective adoption.
Liaise with Center of Excellence (COE) teams (e.g., Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Culture and Growth) to stay informed on global HR initiatives and provide insights to enhance HR policies.
Collaborate with regional HR PICs to implement localized initiatives.
Liaise with IT to manage asset supply and with Finance to align on HR-related costs, when needed.
Develop training materials and guides for new HR policies, and refine and organize existing SOPs and policy documents for clarity and standardization.
Compile regional HR project updates and challenges into reports for senior management review.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, with proven exposure to supporting multiple countries or working in a multinational environment.
Strong exposure to HR practice rollout and project implementation, with a solid understanding of key HR disciplines such as Performance Management, Employee Relations, etc.
Skilled at localizing HR frameworks for regional teams, with strong documentation abilities (e.g., SOPs, employee handbooks).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Proficiency in additional regional languages (such as Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) is an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining HR logic to diverse audiences.
Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration, with strong project management to handle multiple markets.
Analytical and adaptable, with a detail-oriented approach that ensures effective HR governance.
Willingness and ability to travel across regions when required.
